Traffic calming on the high street outside the school

The stretch of high street between the pub and the primary school sees 25mph+ traffic at school pick-up. Three near-misses reported to the parish council this year. We're asking the council to install a 20mph zone with a raised pedestrian crossing outside the school gates — a small bit of paint + concrete that would make every parent's morning a bit less terrifying.
